Transforming life for frontline workers
Decisions made easier. Lives made better.
Frontline teams have come second to desk-based workers in the digital revolution.
While many attempts have been made... many nurses, delivery drivers, care workers and bus drivers still live in a world of manual processes and chaotic paperwork.
Sean Nolan and his team at Blink were determined to change this. They'd created an award-winning frontline app that counted the NHS, Stagecoach and Elara Caring amongst its customers.
In five years since founding they had collected some remarkable data – when Blink was deployed it reduced attrition by 27% which was saving organisations millions in savings.
But they had a problem. Their brand and communication approach wasn't working as hard as they were. It looked dated and complex which was diminishing their efforts to build a powerful reputation.
We started with their messaging, developing a system that included their name at the beginning of every sentence.
Then we simplified their identity, removing the clutter and choosing a colour system that would stand out in a sea of blue and white competitors.
We then sent an amazing photographer to capture the difference Blink was making to frontline teams. This developed into an image bank of hundreds of images that they could use for all of their communication needs.
Lastly we agreed that human beings aren't rational and what was really needed alongside this beautiful identity were some furry characters 'The Blinkies' which could be left behind after every sales pitch as a constant reminder of Blink and its brilliance.
We then worked with the amazing team at Blink to bring this to life across all aspects of the experience.
With special thanks to our talented partners.
